1. COMPETITION'S GOAL

Dixero wants to discover new possibilities asking you to collaborare in creating new characters. By joining this contest you could create the characters' concept that could be part of Dixero's product.

2. WHAT IS DIXERO?

Dixero is an easy online tool that allows you to aggregate RSS feeds and vocalize them with different voices. The service allows to access to internet contents all day long recovering unused time such as waiting the bus, driving the car, flying, providing podcast that you can use even offline. Dixero is revolutionary because all the online contents become available as podcasts that can be used anytime, anywhere.

3. WHO IS TURNED TO?

The contest is reserved to US citizens who are at least 18 years old. Projects of appliants without this requirements will not be considered.

4. REQUIREMENTS

Your new characters must represent Dixero being:

• simple
• cool
• friendly
• friends

5. HOW TO APPLY

• Create the new Dixero concept: your project will be made by a panel of 3 different characters suitable for summer time Then, redraw them for the winter time, so the final project will be made by a total amount of 6 characters.
• You can send more than one project. The more you draw, the more you increase your chances to win the contest!
• Write a brief description of your project and a short introduction of yourself, including your personal data (name, date and place of birth, address). Send it with your project to avatarcontest@dixero.com
• Please notice: if you want to apply with more than one project, SEND THEM SEPARATELY and include in each email project's description and introduction.
• Write down your deadline and don't forget it! All the projects must arrive by 11/14/2008, 23.59 GMT. Project arriving after the deadline will not be considered.
• Judgement: within 11/28/2008, Dixero's creative team will choose 10 projects between all the ones received before the deadline.
• It's up to you to decide the winning project: on 11/28/2008 Dixero will publish the 10 choosen project and publish them on Digg. The one that receives more votes will be our winner project.
• Prize: The winner will be announced on 12/19/2008 and will win a brand new Apple Mac Pro.
• It's up to decide the winning project but winning avatars could be not the official avatars of Dixero new release. Any kind of project could be chosen by Dixero to represent his voices and anybody who take part could get involved in a collaboration with Dixero.

7. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Sent project will not be returned to the Contestant(s). Each Contestant agrees that his or her project will belong to Dixero who can use it for commercial purposes. In case of commercial use, every time the material will be used the attibution and intellectual property is guaranteed. Dixero International SA is not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of a prize, or possession, or use of a prize; (iii) or any regional, state, autonomous, or local laws or regulations violated during the creation of the entries by the Contestant(s). Dixero International SA reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or modify the Contest if fraud or technical failure corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest, as determined by Dixero International SA in its sole discretion. Each Contestant agrees to release and hold Sponsor harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage, and claims based upon intellectual property infringement, publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. Each Contestant agrees that if his or her entry is selected as a Finalist entry, as a condition of receiving a prize, Contestant shall sign a license agreement granting to Sponsor a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, modify for purposes of publicly performing and publicly displaying, and prepare derivative works based upon winner's entry, for the purposes of advertising and promoting Dixero International SA products, and for inclusion in and distribution with Dixero International SA products. To the extent that such a perpetual license is ineffective or unenforceable, Contestant shall sign a license agreement providing to Sponsor a royalty-free, non-exclusive, two-year (2), worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, modify for purposes of publicly performing and publicly displaying, and prepare derivative works based upon winner’s entry, for the purposes of advertising and promoting Dixero International SA products, and for inclusion in and distribution with Dixero International SA products. Each Contestant agrees that by submitting an entry, he or she allows the use of his or her personal data, name, likeness, and/or voice in publicity or advertising relating to the Contest without compensation. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Contestant and Dixero International SA in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canton Ticino, Switzerland. Where permitted by law, Contestant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, other than the administration of the Contest or the determination of winners, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the Court of Lugano, Canton Ticino, Switzerland.
